Michael W. Jennings, President and CEO, Founder

Mike Jennings is the founder, president and CEO of Cognetic Technologies.  He is a graduate of Auburn University where he also received a commission as an officer in the United States Navy.  Mike served nine years in the active duty Navy as an F-14 Naval Flight Officer, culminating in three years as an instructor at the Navy Fighter Weapons School, TOPGUN.  He recently retired as a Captain in the Navy Reserves.

Mike has over 27 years of professional experience, including 17 years in the field of applied software technologies, providing both technical business planning and technology application consulting services to senior government and corporate leaders. An integral member of the Navy's "Task Force Web" from 2001-2004, credited with developing the complex business case for converting stove-piped systems to an enterprise service-oriented architecture. Responsible for managing the team of industry and government engineers through the implementation of the Navy Enterprise Portal. Key member of "Task Force Navy Family" from 2005-2006, responsible for designing and developing the Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (PAAS), the federal government's first enterprise personnel accountability system. Most recently, Mike is engaged in managing, marketing and implementing this same capability for the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, Department of Veterans Affairs, and other federal departments and agencies.
